I am desperately looking for information on high schools for kids who live in Aventura. We are relocating and would like to apply for Aventura City of excellence school for our 8th grader. I heard and read lots of good reviews about this school. . But one thing I struggle to find is what high schools are available after completetion of this middle school? Which schools graduates are going to? I know there are magnet options, but what if your child doesnt make it to magnet high school, then which school is he going to attend?

I believe that all of Aventura is zoned for Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School, which is located on County Line Road on the other side of I-95. The school has historically had a good reputation, but I don't have any personal experience with it and don't know much about the academics, sports, etc. there nowadays.

My sons go to American Heritage School in Plantation. They have a good number of friends that live in Aventura (many of them Israeli).
