Well to all the people that claim up north is worse out of pride.....how many cities in your state are in the top 25 list?...then compare that to the amount Florida has in the top 25 and that proves that overall Florida is more dangerous than those places

Yah, when you look at stats for Miami you really need to look at the stats of Miami-Dade County instead. Just because the City of Miami which many people use as a comparision to other cities, is really small compared to the rest of Miami-Dade County. The City of Miami only has a population of 378,914. Were Miami-Dade County has a population of 2,437,022 people.

Actually the most recent report shows two Florida cities making the top 25 SAFEST (Port St. Lucie (25) and Coral Springs (10, thats right guys)) and only one city making the most dangerous (Orlando). As a metropolitan area, Miami-Dade does rank only a step above Charlotte as one of the most dangerous.

West Palm and Miami Beach only for thier size (not overall). Not something to be proud of though...Coral Springs was 4th safest for it's size.

Exactly for their size. The city of Miami is small so it will not be in the same category as other cities like Orlando. So it is all in how you look at it.
