Haha, sooo... South Americans are criminals and North (and I imagine white) Americans are beacons of rectitude and morality?

You actually might be right, I want to live here but I'm not really that respectable or decent and I have to admit my morals are quite low.

Thank you, it's good to feel welcomed. I can even speak Spanish too, I imagine that alone makes my criminal factor at least double.

My comments were not directed toward the posters who express their legitimate cons of working and living in Miami (e.g., summer weather, year-round traffic, cost of living, relatively low wages, etc.). I was specifically referring to the trolls and malcontents whose every post is an over-the-top trashing of everything related to Miami and the people who live here. Comments such as the below:

That's the type of thing I'm talking about and we have a few regulars who post nothing but ridiculous crap like that.

Are you Cuban, or another form of Hispanic DNA?

i'm not hispanic and i was born here but grew up overseas. Not everyone is into the Miami party scene and are regular tax paying joes that enjoy the weather. I live in a decent neighborhood and work downtown in the health district. Yes, its hard to raise kids here but not all neighborhoods are bad. Family friendly neighborhoods such as Miami Shores, Morningside, Baypoint exist. The northeastern area of Miami that I grew up in is totally away from the party scene

IIRC, you've stated on this very forum that you're "self-employed."

You need to practice keeping your stories straight.

Hey angelscorpio, life's hard enough as it is, all your bitterness only makes it harder. You should get yourself a girlfriend, a pet or something, try to have some fun.

When you get to Miami you can decide for yourself. Lots of things to do. Very hot in the summer. You are going to encounter good and bad people no matter where you go. Keep your security in mind and don't be foolish.
