Does anyone know if the Bimini ferry or bimini superfast ferry is coming back to operate at Port of Miami? Is there any other affordable way to get to Bimini from Miami?

You just fly now. About $400/roundtrip. Ever been on a seaplane? Just that experience is worth the $400.

I was looking into going to Bimini in July and found none of the ferrys were running anymore, a seaplane or a small plane through Cape Air I think.

Silver Airways has daily flights but I think they are out of Lauderdale.

Big red ferry is closed:

For the past two and a half years, Bimini SuperFast proudly transported passengers from Miami to the beautiful shores of Bimini, however, the time has come to change the way you travel to Bimini. We’ve been hard at work to launch a new initiative called Break for Bimini and to offer daily, non-stop commercial air service from South Florida to Bimini with Cape Air or Silver Airways-- giving you less time in transit and more time to enjoy our resort’s new amenities.
With this new initiative, the Bimini SuperFast will cease operating between Miami and Bimini on Sunday, January 10th

It is a shame the ferry service is gone. They did a ton of damage to Bimini trying to get that big boat in there (dredging, built a huge pier). Seems they wrecked the mangroves/environment for nothing.

I never took the ferry but the reviews were terrible (slow loading/unloading, poor a/c, bad food, etc). But then again for $99 you aren't exactly getting the Queen Elizabeth 2!
