Tired of hurricanes and natural disasters? Both Gallup, NM and Farmington, NM never receive a single natural disaster since the beginning of time.

Middle of nowhere is no place to live....besides that region just had an earthquake about 4 hrs ago 3.7 magnitude.

I was going to say, if Cat 5 hits only once in a decade or even every few years, still better than months of winter elsewhere. As long as I am prepped and insured.

I'm from Farmington. I think there was a flood there once.

comparatively speaking, it didn't amount to all that much.

I tried Ruidoso for three years. Really really missed the coast.

From what I've read, Gallup, NM is rated #1 in everything and most safest city from any natural disaster, followed by Lordsburg, NM at #2, Deming, NM at #3, and then Farmington, NM at #4. I know Farmington, NM is not the highest #1, but at least it has a lot lower crime rate than Gallup, NM.

I rather sit through one cat 5 hurricane a week than live in NM.

An occasional natural disaster that isn't life threatening or living somewhere where you'll get the urge to shoot yourself in the head out of boredom... tough choice!
