yup....in fact, I am still finding this to be a slightly cooler than average summer so far.....I think we have only touched 90 or higher a couple of times this year (at least by the water) with average highs in the upper 80's. With the exception of a few days the weather has been gorgeous. I said the winter seemed a little cooler this year and now the summer--nearly half way through it--has been a little cooler than usual as well....yes, I think it has to do with the rains--though more like the usual passing thunderstorms, with the exception of a 2 week rough patch in May due to an unexpected disturbance.....only other thing I have noticed this year are more mosquito bites so far, which would be explained by more rain.

Overall, though, has been a very comfortable 2018....I have to laugh--when I lived in California people there would complain how uninhabitable or miserable Florida must be due to our humidity levels (oh brother) as if it were the forbidden zone from the original Planet of the Apes (and probably to justify, in their minds, their much higher COL for smaller sized homes and faster aging skin from the overall dryness...and Westwood/LA, not exactly that far inland, hit 113 the other week).

I really would like it if dawn was at 9am. The commute would be so much more comfortable. ><

I honestly don't think it's that hot here. I was in Sacramento last summer and it seemed hotter there than it does here (though the natives there said that it was unusually hot). You do sweat a lot more here though.
