I live in Broward but I am in Miami every weekend. I have met people that were far friendlier than in Broward. On two occasions we had to make a left turn on coral way headed west. There was bumper to bumper traffic and kind people parted the street like the moses did the red sea for us to make our turn. I have had that happend on two occasions down there. People have always been willing to speak to us and everyone we have encountered spoke english.

Exactly, people are people anywhere you go. I am a pretty out going guy and initiate conversation quite often. People talked to me and smiled, just like anywhere else I go. I even had a guy (with his family) hold a door open for my wife and I as we left a restaurant.

I've met rude people everywhere, and I'm sure Miami is no exception. However I just don't see the level as it is portrayed on this forum.

Let me guess... you visited South Beach, or another posh, touristy area and the people who you gave money to were nice to you. I am happy for you!

It is pretty easy to see why no one would be nice to you ... that is a no brainer
