So, Rick Snyder, "one tough nerd", stomped Bernero in the gubernatorial election and the Republicans also took the state House and Senate.

Now what? What kinds of changes do you think they'll make to the State of Michigan and will they actually be able to improve Michigan's economy and job market? Realistically, what do you think they'll be able to accomplish?

Discuss.

Nothing will change. The party of "No" will continue to say "No" to make sure Obama only serve 4 years in office.

I voted for Rick because he genuinely seems to love and care for MI. and that is very important to me. I think he will do his best to bring Michigan back, but its gonna be one tough haul.

There are a lot of people here on city-data that "genuinely love and care for MI" do you think they are qualified for the job?

If the proposed solution is going to make a situation worse, then sometimes the best answer is "no." I would rather have a problem that I'm familiar with, rather than creating an entire new set of problems by using faulty reasoning to correct the first problem. Follow?

Could be a few that are. people are gonna complain no matter who was elected. One guy is as good as the next, so give me someone that really seems to care about this state...thats a good start.

One, how do you KNOW a proposed solution will make a situation worse, and two, what makes you think any new problems are unsolvable? Doing nothing now (saying "no") seems the worst of all choices. Ya follow?

Rick Snyder is a moderate, not a far-right tea party candidate. I think he'll be good for Michigan.
