Taking a poll! When do you predict we will see our first snowfall here in the WONDERFUL state of Michigan.

My predictions:
The UP will see it late next week.
The northern lower will get some the week after that.
Us "southerners" will get it the 2nd week in November.

That's what I am thinking. In the air, could be any time.

Same here. Since we almost always get one small temporary snow before Halloween, I expect the first snow to be within the next 2 weeks. And the first snow that stays, lately it's usually the 1st or 2nd week of December that full blown winter turns on like a switch. But it could be during deer season too.

I was talking just snow in general. I know our first flurries here (in the south/central part of the state) were in early November last year I get all antsy this time of year just waiting for the first flurries to fall so I guess that's what I meant.

If you mean real snow , here in da UP ( western part) , it will come in about 4 weeks, and stay till ..spring. A few flakes have already happened. Yesterday we had hail then rain , wind , then more rain.We expect light snow this week, however it should melt quickly and in some areas ,lower elevations, may just be rain. I think Wed is the date predicted for this first event of the season, but , who really knows?
