Clinton , did sign the bill, but , did not create it , that was the First Bush., just for the record.. Both were wrong , as well as most of our so called elected leaders. Now we pay the piper , and , the piper is not American.......

Some here are the same, they do not see that the Michigan bus left over 1 year ago.

The economy, in many ways, has been great in the last few years. Nationally, at least. That theres trouble ahead isn't surprising. Its a cyclical economy. The real problem with our economy isn't its growth, its that the huge bulk of growth is only benefiting the elite few. We have a huge wage disparity and its only growing. This has more to do with outsourcing than any kind of tax cuts or raises.

As for our troubles, yes, most of it can, for the middle class be linked to NAFTA - which was begun by elder Bush and finished by Clinton. This led to the outsourcing of jobs, which HAS grown our economy on the whole, but has done so in a dramatically unbalanced way. Outsourcing effectively funnels wealth from the middle class to the wealthy: They outsource the production of the very same goods that they turn around and sell to the middle class. It helps their profit margins and our OVERALL economic efficiency. But it does so at a high cost to the majority of Americans.

Don't mistake me here: Free trade is a wonderful thing. It allows us to use respective comparative advantages to produce our goods more efficiently. This allows us to funnel capital into new developments which does grow our economy. The trouble I see is that our leaders are failing to counteract the growing disparity of wealth that is a direct cause of free trade. Don't let them goad you into blaming one party or the other. Thats exactly what they want. Its called misdirection.

We essentially have 10% of the population running the country right now, with one 5% blaming the other 5% for all the country's woes. All while they collude with each other to prevent real change from occurring. Personally, I think we're better off blaming the entire 10%.

And no, I don't see the Democrats as trying to reverse the disparity of wealth. I see them trying to placate and neuter much of the population by making their totally reliant on that 10%.

Which, I guess was also loaded with PMs ? Guns , whatever.( I do not know this for sure , just for the record ).......... This was in 2000 , now , I hear he is back........Maybe NZ wasn't any better ?.......... I think I would try Canada first....not so far away, that is , if you have 750,000 in net worth, cause thats what they want to let you in.

I was planning to retire overseas but the US dollar is absolutely getting crushed. It is horrible. Look at the charts on the value of our greenback vs most world currencies. The trend lines are at downward 45 degree angle. And I'm not talking the Euro or UK Sterling here. I'm talking South American currencies! We have mortgaged our future here in America. It's not good. We have 12 plus million illegals working construction and meat packing etc. Those industries were once well-paying jobs for our middle class. How the hell are companies allowed to hire ILLEGALS???? I am so pissed that both Dems and Reps are doing NOTHING about this. NOTHING. Repeat NOTHING. I am tired of being Mexico's "safety valve". By the way, I am in California. You should see it here....

We are going to pay the piper. Our government is not going to help. They are pretty much broke too. Our cheap dollar should make our goods very competitive worldwide but we hardly make anything anymore in this country! Our manufacturing base is now selling each other a cup of fancy coffee or doing "human resource" work at a law firm so we can sue each other....

Buying gold and silver will not do any good. In the depression, it was illegal to use it as trade. You were only allowed so much jewlry. I say save water, food, medicine. Generator, etc... especially if you live in AZ like I do at the moment.

Plan A for me is to move to other states in the south. If that does not work either then i will look to move to another developed country, but the major european countries are on life support too. They just don`t have this housing collapse, but they are moving their jobs to africa and to eastern europe. The riches and those who abused and stole will not have to worry worldwide while we ponder of what the hell we are going to do next.

Canada isn`t any better then America, but there are european countries where you could live nicely.Problem is that you need a sponsor to stay there and american citizenship is only worth 180 days maximum of stay.Anyways i think these small european countries will be very rich and the big developed countries along with america will have their standard dropped. The third world is taking over thanks to some smart people who only know how to import goods and sell them at exorbitant prices.
