Last weekend in Rogers City (between Alpina and Cheboygan). It sure was nice to see the lake again after this long and cold winter. Just above freezing and the wind made it pretty chilly.

There's an incredible book called A Child Of The Sea by Elizabeth Whitney Williams about Charlevoix, other N. Mich islands, etc in 1800s(I'm reading it now-Gutenberg). I live in the SW desert, never been to Great Lakes-sooo jealous! Wow-so beautiful!

The Great Lakes are absolutely amazing and beautiful. You should plan a trip one day...you will not be sorry!
I actually just posted a picture taken in beautiful Charlevoix.

A few from Fisherman's Island State Park near Charlevoix.

Charlevoix.

Here are some pics I took on Mackinac Island,

Taken on the hill by the fort.

It was foggy that morning, taken near Mission Point.

Same with this one, my cousins are in it.

Somewhere along the outside of the island, riding my bike to the halfway point to get fried pickles.

On a trail at the end of downtown.

Same as before.

Not sure why most of the are sideways but yeah.

I was in Grand Rapids working around the 4th of July and I snapped some pictures. They lit up the landmark blue bridge in rainbow colors in honor of the supreme court ruling it was pretty awesome.

The Michigamme River, taken from a remote "camp" (aka cabin) in Humboldt Township, Marquette County where we spent a few days.

And then the iron oar dock in Marquette and the courthouse in Crystal Falls, Michigan.
