Hello,

I am moving to Cheboygan from Los Angeles. I am really looking forward to not having so many angry people all over the place. I have read alot about the area and the only problem I am having being halfway across the country is finding a place to live.

I am looking for a house to rent. I need a house and a garage. I gues it would the freedom of having one after living in LA for 3 years. I really want some land and a place by myself. Anyone visiting this site know of anything?

Other than that, I am looking forward to moving and making it the best it can be!

I am in the Coast Guard. The change will be a relief not drastic. I love the outdoors, to include mowing lawns, fishing and snowmobiling. I am ready to leave LA

Default Cheboygan is kind of a sleepy town

Tourism isn't nearly as big on the east shore as it is on the west shore of northern lower Michigan. I don't know any specifics about housing, but I'll bet it's very affordable up there. You'll get plenty of snow, and there's plenty of woods and water for activities that depend on them. Plus, the Upper Peninsula is right nearby, and I'd be up there every weekend, if I lived in Cheboygan.

I see it's been a while since you asked, but...if you are still looking for housing I have a place that you might be interested in.
