As soon as I turned seventeen last June I called and met with a marine recruiter. That August I went to meps and took the asvab. I completed everything but got disqualified for having pectus excavatum. I did the IST and after a few weeks I got the waiver but my parents wouldn't sign the papers. I would have gone to boot camp June 10th this year. Now that I turn eighteen I can join on my own but I plan on moving to Cincinnati and joining. How hard would it be to complete meps again and explain when I previously tried to join in another state?
It won't matter if you move-- the recruiter in Cincinnati will only care that youve tried to enlist before because it may require some different steps on their part. Your medical records should still be in MEPS' system. Best bet--- talk to a recruiter.
