Stuck waiting for MEPS to respond... (reserves, Air Force, reserve, Marine)

Hey guys, i am in quite a predicament here and really would like some help. My story is long but the details are necessary. Any advice would be awesome. THANKS!
So, back in 2015 me and my good friend decided to join the military, and given that he's afraid of deploying we decided to do the Coast Guard. After meeting with a recruiter and being totally HONEST with him about 3 medical conditions, I get processed to take my ASVAB and then soon after my buddy has a change of heart and decides to quit on me. So with that I quit with the CG and made the decision to go with the Air Force. I told My recruiter I was with the CG previously but bailed because of my friend and when asked about past medical conditions I lied.. reason being I wanted to get in the Air Force as fast as I could. Well that lie bit me in the ass and my recruiter found out (the medical conditions are non disqualifying). Now this is still in 2015 and I'm still stuck in this damn process NOW 2017. Anyway, I gave my recruiter all of my medical files and I mean EVERYTHING. He sends them to MEPS and MEPS sends them back for incorrect numbering then "duplicate copies" and THEN everything works out. Mind you this took serval months going into 2016... so now close to the new year of 2016 happens I get a call saying to come in and pick my physical date for MEPS, come the day of my recruiter calls me saying I was denied because the chief medical officer wanted more records... given that I've have literally given him all of my records AND went to my own doctor to do a physical, blood test and urine test and clear me with a written letter from him stating I'm healthy yet they still want more documents. Then my recruiter gets promoted, dumps me with someone else in his office which also took a couple months, now we're in the middle of 2016 still waiting for MEPS to get back to me after me typing a bunch of letters stating I don't have any additional medical paperwork to offer or other medical conditions and they still request more crap that they keep seeing in my medical history.
Now recently in December of 2016 they see that I had albuertal prescribed to me back in '06, they want prescription history of an inhaler and asthma related documents. What puzzles me is back in 2006 I was a chubby 6th grader who couldn't run to save his life but the inhaler wasn't for trouble breathing it was for slight allergies. That's it! And it's stated in there for allergies and I've never used the damn thing therefore leading me to never refilling the prescription. What also puzzles me is that by law pharmacies only keep records for 7 years, how MEPS doesnt know that is killing me. So after typing up my last letter to the chief medical officer and MEPS stating that I don't have asthma (attached with a letter from my DR stating I don't have it either) I can't provide prescription history because it's past the statute of limitations (literally 10-11 years past) I give the letter to my recruiter, he gives me the feeling that he's leaving me hang to dry now because I'm probably a hard case for him and straight up says "I don't think this letter will do anything with out providing them prescription history" so now I'm stuck here waiting for MEPS and my recruiter to get back to me, it's been 2 weeks (gave the letter to my recruiter on 1/06/2017) with no phone call. What can I do? What should I do? and what's going on.. why does MEPS take so long to respond back to me, why do my recruiters take forever to get back to me and why has this taken two damn years... I'm really trying to stay focused and motivated to join.

Or has advice on what I can do. Right now all of my friends who are in the Air Force are baffled as to why it's taken so long.. thank you again! I will probably sound like an A-hole, but you've already shown them that you will lie to them, nor did you have any real desire to serve or be deployed. It sounds like it was just something cool for you to do. Just forget about it and move on to something else.

You can still get a prescription history. Don't be difficult. Go to Walgreens and ask them to print your prescription history. So what if it only goes back 5 years. So what if it's blank and nothing on it. So what if it says "No record found." It will still show that you haven't gotten an inhaler in years. The regulation says no inhaler use for 3 years. The only way you can prove this is when a prescription history. GET A PRESCRIPTION HISTORY. If it's blank, that helps you. This is not hard to do. It will take 17 seconds. Walk to the pharmacy desk at CVS, Walgreens, or wherever, and ask for a prescription printout. Done. Problem solved. MEPS thinks you are a liar, because you are, so how do they know you didn't just get another inhaler last month? You need a prescription history to show that you're not still getting inhalers. They're not asking about 7 years ago, or 11 years ago, they're trying to see what prescriptions you've gotten filled in the recent 3-5 years.
MEPS doesn't usually take letters, only medical records. Your recruiter is totally correct that they probably won't take the letters. You need MEDICAL RECORDS that show you don't have asthma. How does your doctor know you don't have asthma if he hasn't evaluated you for it? And if he HAS evaluated you, and found you to now have asthma, how come you can't provide those MEDICAL RECORDS instead of a letter? I'll tell you way, because medical records have "History of" sections on it, and often people want to hide what's in the "history of" section so they try to get letters instead of medical records. This makes MEPS lose trust in an applicant, especially one who has already lied.
1. Get your prescription history for whatever years it's available, even if it's blank. If it's blank, that helps you.
2. Get the medical records from the tests that your doctor did to determine you don't have asthma. I'm assuming you passed a PFT, Methacholine challenge, or other diagnostic test? Your doctor can't make a determination that you don't have asthma without some kind of test.
3. Albuterol is never prescribed for allergies, so that literally makes no sense. Albuterol doesn't treat allergies, that's part of why MEPS isn't believing you... it's not believable. If you have a doctor giving out Albuterol for allergies you have a doctor committing malpractice.

So a statement from the doctor saying he doesn't have asthma doesn't work?

Generally no. Medical records saying he doesn't have asthma will work much better. One of my recruiters sent a letter to MEPS last week stating that an applicant was no longer on medicine for acne. MEPS refused to even read they letter, immediately rejecting it and asking for medical documents.
Medical records have "history" on them that the letter lacks, they also often have vital signs that the letter lacks.
If a doctor is willing to write a letter, they would presumably do it only after an exam... so it's the records from that exam that the MEPS wants.
How does the doctor know the person doesn't have asthma? They must have done tests, so the MEPS wants the records from the tests that were done.
A letter is completely different from medical records.

Sorry but I've worked for lots of docs who prescribe albuterol for everything from allergies to bronchitis. Albuterol merely opens up the airways so it works for many conditions not just asthma. Albuterol is a bronchodilator and muscle relaxer. Nothing more, nothing less.
I don't have any medical conditions and my dd form 2807 was summit and it has been over 90 days and yesterday the recruiter tells me it wàs resumed and give it time I know they are jerking me around because I had been in 10 years prior to reenlisting I know the games recruiters play

The Marine unit I was in deployed to Iraq in 2003, I did not go as I was on the PWST. Anyway, friend of mine gets back from deployment and was like, **** this. I'm going somewhere I won't deploy. He joined the Coast Guard Reserves and stupidly took a job as a PS (Port Security Specialist) up in the Tacoma, WA area. In 2005 he deployed to Kuwait for six months of walking around on oil platforms in the gulf. Too funny.
My 19 year old son has been trying to enlist for almost a year now. I was completely honest with the recruiter when he asked if he had ever been prescribed albuterol in his life. I told him he had allergy induced asthma two months out of the year in early elementary school and I thought possibly albuterol had been prescribed. - Bad mistake Mom!
1. We have provided his medical records for the last 8 years.
2. We have provided a letter from his Dr stating she has never treated him for Asthma. We live in a small town with 1 Dr.)
3. We had a PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) done at the hospital 2 towns over & above average results for his age group - completely clear.
4. We have provided the last 6 years of pharmacy records (that's as far back as CVS goes) - no asthma or breathing related scripts. Only 2 antibiotics. Its the only pharmacy in our town.
5. Now we are being asked to submit a letter to MEPS stating he does not have asthma and that the records are all correct.
I feel like my son has wasted an entire year trying to join.
My son is healthy and scored above average on his ASVAB. He does not have any criminal history. It's disappointing that it's this difficult to enlist.
