And right back at ya! I was wondering if there were any other Coasties here? I've got a son on the USCGC Acushnet right now and another one who wants to join and go the Eagle.
My brother-in-law, may he rest in peace, served in two different conflicts. He lied about his age and joined the Navy at the tail end of WWII. Served aboard a destroyer. He must have seen a fair anount of action because he could never watch fireworks- said the noise brought back too many difficult memories. Later, he re-joined and served in the SeaBees during the Korean conflict. Does that count?
