I was stationed in Wildflecken from '77 t0 '80 in the 2/15th Inf. and loved everything about it, although I don't miss the "Hawk", but fondly remember my trips to the monastery and the dark beer we drank, anyone who may remember me please contact me, would love to talk about the good old days.

Berlin Brigrade Infantry used to train there, I enjoyed seeing , watching and talking to Bundesweir troops.
Never forget them slogging downhill to base with hundred singing in uninson " Wan kums du wieder, mein klienen Jager" and litting the left boot hard on the pavement on the beat.

Talking Stationed in Wildflecken from 84-89

I was there also. I was stationed at HHC 1/68 Armor Battalion as a cook there and loved my hole time there. Especially the monastery walked to the top and got lost coming back due to having one too many GOOD LITRES. I also went to Schweinfurt to visit my Oma there and all my relatives. Germany is a beautiful country and always will be compared to our screwed up country here in the so called Good Ole U.S.A. WOuld be nice if our Beaurocrats would do what they say and not as they will.

Default Wildflecken Germany

I was stationed on the rock. In 92-93, of course I was in the military police company. We had a ball. I was one the few women in 536th MP company and we got along almost everybody. Well I did anyway. I truly enjoyed myself and if I could do it again with the same people and both the 11th ACR and the 54th Engineers I would do it all over again. Anyone who was stationed there well almost anyone would say we had a ball.

Unfortunately, the post closed down in 1993. and was given back the Germany, I was one of the last soldiers that was on the post. If you google Wildflecken, Germany a few pictures will appear of how the post use to be but it is now a training post and truly not the same place. But, you can get an idea of some of the places.
