I'll be visiting Oconomowoc with my husband for a week. He has to work during the daytime. Any very close activities you could recommend for me? I'm interested in anything really - craft classes, photography, gardening, etc. It will be in April if that helps.

How close is very close? Downtown Milwaukee is only 30 miles away or a 30 min drive. What's your range? Lapham Peak is close, it's a nature area that includes the Ice Age Trail and the highest point in Waukesha County.

I went once in the summer. Imagine a typical Hollywood picturesque small town. It was really cool. They premiered the Wizard of Oz there apparently. They have like a huge showing every year. I think that just passed though. I wish I could tell you what to do there but I was only there for a day for an art show.

The closest point of interest is Milwaukee, located 40 minutes east. Or Madison, located about an hour west.
