This is a really random comment, but I’m going to throw it out there…

I grew up and lived in Minneapolis for 19 years. I relocated out to LA for a job about a year and a half ago (this was around the time Katy Perry’s California Gurls was a smash hit). Thinking that LA was chalked full of beautiful women and hot models, I found the exact opposite to be true once I got to Hollywood.

Minneapolis girls are much better looking, not to mention easier to talk to, more down to earth, and more fun to be around than any girl that I’ve met from the West Coast. Sure, Hollywood has some eye candy, but whenever I go back to Minneapolis, I find much more attractive girls in Uptown and downtown than I do anywhere in LA.

I can’t put my finger on why exactly, but there is something great about a girl in the Midwest…

Thoughts?

I of course, agree. We have much less sun damage and a better work ethic compared to those Cali girls

Depends on your type, I guess. In the spirit of the "grass is always greener," I've always wished I had dark hair, which was definitely the norm in my parts of LA -- lots of Hispanic and Armenian women. (although my LA hair stylist did tell me I had "Mexican" hair, which I took as a compliment!) If you like blondes you'll find a lot more of them in Minneapolis.

IMHO, there is no question that the women in the TC are way more beautiful than others parts of the country, and a higher percentage of women are beautiful here. It was one of the first things that struck me when I moved here.

I think it's the Scandanavian Culuture. There's something about those tall Blonde hair -blue eyed ladies with the last name Swenson, Hanson, Olson, etc.

Did you ever see the Key of Awesome parody on "California Girls"? It's better than the original!

MN girls (and WI girls) are pretty awesome, if you ask me! I married a WI one (it hurts on gamedays against the Packers) and I tend to find the same thing as you: very down to Earth, pretty, nice, good values, humble, etc. As far as looks go, the jury is out on that one. A lot of guys(/girls) dig blondes but I don't and yet I still find Norris women to be quite beautiful.....go figure!

I have to disagree with the comment on women in CA having more sun damage...I'm from L.A. and was shocked at how many people here "tan" in the winter months. Tanning salons everywhere! Eeek. (ALthough one co-worker claimed it helped her SAD...hmmmm)

Now, I WILL say that I think the MEN in Minnesota are much better looking than the men in California (IMHO). Taller and more ruggedly handsome (and NOT trying so hard...). So it goes both ways!

I would agree with this as well. In Minnesota, I would puposely soak up as much sun as possible May - Oct, since I knew I wouldn't get much sunlight during the winter.

Since living in LA, I don't think I've been sunburnt once.
