I went to the Shake Shack on Michigan Ave in Chicago by Grant Park recently and found it to be very unexciting in a Wendy's kind of way.

Went here a few months ago for first time in 20+ years. Was good, but not worth the half hour drive to get there. Simplest menu I've ever seen My first 5-8 Juicy Lucy was best burger I've ever had, but now they've become nothing special.

Agreed. I work practically across the street from one and there's another I pass by every day in GCT. They're always crowded. To paraphrase one of my coworkers, "If you're looking for a greasy burger joint [Shake Shack] is a slightly better quality greasy burger joint". Which is basically exactly the same thing as mentioned above.

For those of you in the MSP area (my hometown), if you want a greasy burger joint skip the MOA and visit Snuffy's Malt Shop in Minnetonka or the Peppermint Twist drive-in in Delano.

If only it were just a burger joint. As a NYC resident, you should understand.

Anyway, it looks like the MOA launch was crazy!

Awesome news. I'm ecstatic about this even though I don't live in MSP.
You're a big fan of Bloomington?

A. Eating beef isn't hip anymore.
B. The local hate towards MOA is getting old. Have you been there lately? It isn't that bad anymore, and until something better comes along it's probably the best place to have a nice stroll during the winter months.

My opinion.

Agree. MOA is a great attraction to have here and provides a great winter destination for stretching your legs, being around people, and experiencing many brands and restaurants not available anywhere else in the Midwest.

What they've done with the expansion and well curated food options is really great. People with reflexive anti-MOA bias are missing the point. Big time.
