Perhaps you should move to a lower tax state and report in to all of us in a year or so. I've been there/done that. I'll gladly pay more and stay here.

I'll say it again...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. If you want everything for "free" you should expect a whole lot of crappy crap.
California already has pretty high taxes (it is the highest taxed state) yet is in disarray...so your answer is MORE taxes? Doesn't make any sense sorry.

Which low-tax state is that? (If you say California, I just might fall out of my chair.)

Sorry California is number 8 on the highest taxed list according to Forbes yet they are the worst off and you say they need higher taxes...

Yes...MORE taxes and PROPER management of the taxes! #8 for the #1 state in population? Sadly not enough for a state that went downhill with a Republican governor who mismanaged the money. Just as MN started sinking with PAWLENTY.

Again...you two LOVE to complain about the "high" taxes here, yet you choose to stay here? You both seem to LOVE the south, yet you live here?...hmmmm.....

All things that Minnesota excels in.
Again, would you accept that this might mean different things to different people? Or does Wiki provide a single definition for you against which all things are measured?

It is the number 1 state in population, yes...but it isn't referring to that california is number 8 in aggregate taxes collected. It is saying that it is number 8 on the list of highest tax burdens per person.

I don't live in Minneapolis...I was contemplating moving there but when I found out the state income tax I decided against it. You are right...New Hampshire and Texas are way worse off economically than Minnesota. Maybe they need to raise the taxes as high as California or NYC so they can be as good as those places.

"Again"...."Again" what?? I answered your question. I'd like to know what is YOUR definition of "quality of life"? Please make your point (if you have one).
