I would like to live away from the cities. Away from the hustle and traffic. Sorta in the wilderness but not completely in the boondocks.

I want to live in an old-school,rugged,and traditional kind of town.

I love hockey and ice fishing and would like to have that in my back door

Where should I go?

Park Rapids is a good suggestion, Bemidji would be another one if you want to be closer to amenities yet have the wilderness out your back door.

Our house is for sale in Cokato, MN, just an hour west of Mpls. We live on a lake so fishing and ice hockey would be in your backyard!

Cokato is so boring, I would choose Annandale over it, not because I grew up in Annandale and lived there for around 16 years, but because it does have plenty of lakes and such and the school district is fantastic and better then Cokato and it is closer to the twin cities by a bit... lol

but the 2 towns are pretty similar and are close together so really it doesn't make much of a difference. They both have a market place grocery store, subway and dairy queen, lol
