HI tallwoman,
How is the work there. I applied in may and had assessment in june. Hows the work. Is it worth the trouble. Fast paced? People nice. Benifits good? I haven't received a rejection letter yet...good news? Are they still going to hire more? Sorry for all the questions but since your on the inside thought you could help with info.

Hi Olecrow,
The work depends on where you are assigned. There are several different areas: assembly, body weld, stamping, quality, etc. I am in body weld. The work is physical work, but not too hard to learn. Can't say if it is worth the trouble. Depends on your personal preferences, how far you have to drive, expectations, etc. It can be fast paced at times, but at other times, we don't have much to do. I think that is due to the ramping up process. It is getting faster every day, every week. Most of the people are nice, the benefits are great!!
If you have not received a rejection letter yet, I would say good news, but I also heard they will bring in their last bunch on December 12. So, maybe you will be in the temp group or part time group, don't know about that. It's okay about all the questions. I don't know all the answers because I am still basically new since I just hired in late October. I wish you all the best! Hope you can get in. I feel it is worth it, but still have a lot of adjusting to do since I worked in an office for most of my life and am used to sitting on a chair. I have barely sat down since I started with Toyota. I am also one of the older employees there, so adjustment takes a little longer... lol.
Best of luck to you Olecrow!!! I hope you get what you want!!

My husband and I both received phone calls from toyota yesterday offering us jobs thought employment plus. I dont know of its worth moving our family which incluye our 5 year old and 2 year old from Pearl to Tupelo. If its a permanant position than the decision will be easy. I have alot of questions.
