Miller Creek, the upper reaches anyway, is pretty desolate. At least the last time I drove up there. 'Frenchtown Valley' is just an extension of the river valley that flows through Missoula and, while smaller in population, it shares the same atmospheric conditions.

Even with the fires, wood smoke is a cleaner smoke than cities, etc. Unless a fire is real close, it wont impact most people's day to day lives.
