Default CD Shirt...YEA!

Don't know why I haven't checked on this thread lately but I LOVE the shirt idea....Purple or royal blue...gotta love it.

And the cooking class sounds great. I think you have to sign up fast from what I've read. They have limited slots and first-timers have priority (they are demonstrating Viking appliances in a Building Supply store...so I understand that).

Hey, Voyager! MrG and I went to "the big spring event" last May. It was worth going to...but take your walking shoes! Last year, it was very hot and it's hard to believe it could do that so soon but it was...and probably was unseasonably hot...but it makes me want to warn you to bring a change of clothes...especially if you decide to dress in costume as so many of them did. Maaan, those women wearing old fashioned dresses and the cowboys in hats and leather vests, etc. were hurtin' for certain!

They have a band contest, great speakers, lots of interesting booths to shop in so bring your money! I seem to recall there wasn't enough food but they'll probably fix that this year...but there's plenty of places to spread a blanket and picnic lunch!

Oh...and one more thing...they say there are signs but there aren't a whole lot of them. And it seemed like we were on the road that leads to their place so long that we thought for sure we had missed something. I'm tellin' you, though, it was one serene and purdy drive...and once we'd turned onto their street...er, ROAD...we were amazed to find ourselves in a traffic jam!

All in all, we'd recommend it! The May event is bigger than the other months so ya'll come, ya hear???!!! Oh...and they'll allow ya to park yer RV fer FREE, too! Yeehaw!

http://mediaphoto.doctissimo.fr/dossiers/t/a/tartalacreme/grands-smileys/TN-5111-couple-fermier.gif (broken link) Hey! Maybe we can have a OTFCC gathering there!!!

Default Bransonfest 2008

BransonFest is next week already!
This is the info from the Branson Chamber Newsletter"

Sample the "Best of Branson" at BransonFest 2008 April 8-12, 2008,
at Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater Complex

Once a year, Branson packs a little bit of everything it has to offer into five fun-filled days showcasing world-class performers, local arts and culture, and authentic Branson fare.
BransonFest welcomes spring each year with a virtual smorgasbord of everything this amazing tourist destination has to offer – and all in one location!

Celebrating its 16th year, BransonFest 2008 is set for April 8-12 at Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater complex.
At the daily "Main Stage" inside, you can sample some of Branson's best shows twice each day.
If you attend all the Main Stage performances, you'll sample at least 50, yes, 50 shows!
No wonder this festival has been named a "Top 100" Event in North America by the American Bus Association since 2004!

The five-day event kicks off on Tuesday, April 8th. Activities begin at Noon on the grounds and the first "Main Stage" show is in the American Bandstand Theatre at 7 pm.
Wednesday through Friday, the outdoor activities begin at 9 a.m. and the daily "Main Stage" performances are at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
On Saturday, the final "Main Stage" show is at 2 p.m. Individual show tickets and packages are available.

And if that's not enough to whet your appetite, the daily outdoor activities in the Great American Entertainment Tent and the Hospitality, Business and Arts areas are free and open to the public.
BransonFest 2008 is your chance to sample the multi-dimensional experience that Branson offers its more than eight million visitors annually.

Outdoor Activities
The Great American Entertainment Tent features outstanding entertainment all day long!

The Arts, Culture & Heritage event, sponsored by the Branson Arts Council, showcases Ozark Mountain art, culture and history.
Nationally recognized local artists display and often demonstrate their unique craftsmanship. BransonFest atmosphere is featured throughout the festival in the outdoor area between the tents.
It's a great way to be entertained and enjoy the beautiful spring days of BransonFest.

Nature is on display, too!
BransonFest celebrates spring -- a special time of renewal in America's Live Entertainment Capital. Branson, Missouri, is nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains where Mother Nature puts on a spectacular show with brilliant displays of flowering trees (dogwood, redbud, Bradford pear) and bushes (forsythia, crepe myrtle, lilac) contrasting against the dark green cedars and beginning-to-leaf-out trees.
There's also a plethora of colorful flowers dotting the landscape, signaling the annual period of rebirth and renewal in the Ozarks.
It's also the perfect time to explore scenic nature trails, walking paths and shorelines of area lakes and recreational facilities.

BransonFest Is Big Entertainment!
BransonFest is a great opportunity to sample the best of Branson and decide for yourself what you'll want to come back and enjoy even more of throughout the year! Great American Entertainment Tent and all Outdoor Activities are free.
For individual tickets to the daily "Main Stage" shows in the American Bandstand Theatre and updates on the daily entertainer lineups,

or call 877-588-1957.
Springtime in the Ozarks and BransonFest 2008 just can't be beat!
