Yeah, definitely! They're only about the size of a windshield squeegee (length of the handle).

Blah Blah got to wait 60 seconds to post another question.
Would I need to buy car chains? How do you know what size to get? So kittly littler, blankets, flash light, case of water and jerky or snacks in car is all I need in the car in the winter time?

I would recommend warm clothing over blankets, since you may have to get out to shovel out the tires, or walk to a safe place. A small folding camp shovel works well. Don't bother with snow chains, the snow (almost always) doesn't last long enough to mess with them.

Right, and even if the snow does stick around for awhile, the snowplow guys do a fine job of clearing the streets quickly. Just make sure your tires are in good shape with plenty of tread on them, and don't have them underinflated. Keep them properly inflated.

Growing up in St. Louis, even with the Blizzard of '82, I don't think anyone had chains on their tires. Now if you try going over the Donner Summit (elevation 7,239 feet) in California, about 40 miles west of Reno, that's another thing.

Haven't seen anyone use chains for years around these parts. Not sure they are even legal in some areas any longer....Cali BassMan be right.... 4x4's do the best job...

Good choice! Is it a Legacy or an Outback wagon?
I would recommend snow tires as well because they vastly improve the handling of the car during snowy conditions.

It's none of those. It is a Forester station wagon.
