Which Conor shows up? The one from 2016 that made Eddie Alvarez look silly? Or the one that looked flat and unenthusiatic against Khabib?
I think taking the fight at 170 was a bit of a miscalculation on Conor's part. He is carrying a lot of extra weight as opposed to 155, and if he doesn't finish Cowboy early, he is going to gas out and get lumped up. He might still take a decision like he did against Diaz, but he will take a lot more damage than he wants to.
Cowboy needs to be careful the first two rounds, if he gets too aggressive, he's going to walk into a counter left and get knocked out. If he can use his kicks and keep Conor at distance, he has a decent shot.
My heart wants Cowboy, but I just keeping seeing a "vision" that says "Conor knocks out Cowboy in the 2nd".
I hope Cowboy isn't stupid by trying to stand up with Conor. For the life of me I can't understand why he would agree to have a stand up fight with someone who punches harder than him. I also can't understand the mentality of Conor thinking that the only way to win a fight is by knocking the other guy out. If he wants that, he can go become a kick boxer.
Conor was fed a journeyman 5 years his senior. Was this really anything other than a tune-up?
