targeted goals are based on unrealistic expectations.

But im pretty sure all of them are doing more than enough in sales to continue doing business.

Macy's is doing big things. I know a Finish Line Shoe store just opened inside the Macy's in Columbus,Ga. I prefer to shop at Dillard's,but Macy's have the better sales...

I'm all for Finnish Line and these excess of tennis shoes/sport stores (and the Shoe Station inside the mall) that we have closing in Bel Air mall and opening inside a brand new Macy's (wishful thinking).

A security gaurd at Bel Air mall just told me that Target should be leaving the mall for McGowin Park Center and replaced with a 2-level Macy's, and he was adamant about it. Who knows what's actually going to happen only time will tell. He also said that Cabela's is coming to McGowin Park.

In a WKRG report on McGowin Park from spring of this year, Cabela's was listed as a potential anchor store.

How many acres does this property have. I know that Costco takes a lot of space, so I am trying to rap my mind around whether this is even possible. Target takes a lot of space too, even if you build it up a level or two.

According to the Jones Lang LaSalle website for the property, the development is a total of 82 acres. The various components of the development are 650K square feet.

None of the big boxes in the site plan seem large enough for a standard Target store. More than likely, Target is remaining at Bel Air Mall.

Plans change, a plan on their website is not necessarily set in stone, and there could be a second phase that is yet to be released. But yeah, I'll believe what he said when I see it. He also said there are rumors about Panera Bread coming to the mall, and that I highly doubt, since there is a Panera a 10th of a mile down the road and there is no reason for them to leave, and he did say that that was a rumor, not anything definite in any way.

The first phase is Costco and the two formats from Dick's Sporting Goods. Phase two will be the conventional power center, with stores like Petco, Homegoods, and Ross Dress For Less.
