OK, If you wish to discuss your doomsday kit, and want some humor too, Dual Survival this week is supposed to have Dave Canterbury and his hippy partner trying to survive in Montana. The show is supposed to be on Friday on Discovery Channel, but I usually find it while channel surfing.

I get a kick out of the "dramatic" things they find to worry about. One week they were in Wyoming in the middle of the winter, and were scared of Grizzlies attacking them.

Don't Grizzlies hibernate in Wyoming Elkhunter?? They do in Montana

Anyway, for grins and giggles you can watch the hippy guy walk around in the snow in his shorts and bare feet. (Probably be watching for Rattlesnakes burrowing under the snow )

No, they don't always. We've found that if Reporters or Green Peace people happen to be in the area, it will bring a Grizz out of a dead sleep and they will be angry and hungry.

Winter bears are more dangerous than spring, summer or fall bears. Give the bush hippie some credit & a haircut.

Now Elk, next time pay attention when the coffeepot overflows!!

Something I saw once... gravel pit with a chute, turned the chute on real slow. Filled bags as fast as you could rotate 'em instead of however long it takes with a shovel.

Yes, I think so. River is up another 2 feet since 6am.

Inside right now choaking down some grocerys. Soaked, cold. It's raining hard and only 40 degrees. hahaha Makes it a might chilly. Gotta go back to filling sand bags in a few minutes.

I asked City Hall why the city workers (only 7) weren't filling bags. She said, "It's a liability issue." I said, "Liability issue, are you sure it's not We're liable to have to work issue?" Then I said, "Sheridan City workers are filling bags for the residents there, what the hell are you folks scared of?" Got no answer. Too frustrated to continue talking to the lump behind the desk.
