This is a video from sherbrooke street of a quebecois man and his girlfriend verbally assaulting some visiting english canadians for speaking english in quebec. I know this is not reflective of all or most qubecois but i wonder if the current political climate in quebec is playing a role in this type of attitude?
Not quite the same thing, this looks like a spotty teenager spouting on and not actually talking to a french person....but to actually attack people in the streets..I'm quite sure at 6ft 4, 230 pounds if he heard me speaking English he wouldn't approach me. If I went to Quebec I wouldn't expect to be spoken to in English and I would TRY to speak some French, but to be demanded to do so by a stranger is ridiculous.
The kid is a juvenile idiot and looks like he's on drugs and in noway represents the thinking of any Anglos i know.
Exactly! who would take this kid seriously enough to use his infantile musings as indicative of other Canadians. Gotta say it, but before anyone of any mental maturity takes any other person seriously, those kiddies must demonstrate the capability to at least grow a couple of facial hairs or have completely descended gonads.
He's in his mommies basement smoking a bong having a problem forming cognitive thoughts in a string that make any sense and he's held as an example of English speakers p***ing on French Canadians. Someone's scraping the bottom of the poutine bowl.
And some drunk guy spouting intolerant things on the street at 4 am is worthy of an investigation by the UN Human Rights Commission led by Ban Ki Moon himself I suppose?
I get it. Thou shalt not spout nasty things at speakers of the language of... I dunno, Jesus Christ I guess.
Typical double standard.
