That's a nice indicator of the potential that Morgantown has if the local government can agree to run with things and be progressive...there are some very nice and we'll known cities on that list that are behind Morgantown. I mean, these things are totally subjective, but it's still nice to see.

One thing though...the omission of Austin Texas is ridiculous. I would think that Austin would be a lock to be a top 3 if not number one, that city is simply incredible in terms of balancing culture/ammenities/university presence. Same goes for Columbus...I don't know if they were left off due to high residential population throwing off the student/resident ratio criteria, but those emissions are terribly glaring considering that Madison, Pittsburgh and Minneapolis were on the list.

Again though...no Austin? Wow, just wow. That place is/was/always will be the quintessential college town.

That list was all messed up. Yes I agree that Morgantown is in the 20-25 range, but some of those listed above are no where near as quality as some of the ones listed bellow. Example: Ames, Iowa is not 18 spots better than Burlington, VT. In fact, Ames is probably 18 spots beneath Burlington, and Burlington is probably top 15.

You have to remember various factors were considered. Fargo has a very low crime rate and high quality of life index, for example. They didn't just use surface factors... glitz and the like. Some of those large cities like Minneapolis and Austin are wonderful big cities... that's true, but they have some negatives that don't factor into the mix with towns like Fargo... higher crime, pockets of poverty and the like.
