your math is off. It's 600 million screamin chinamen.
Hmmm in regards to this silly remake... Did the dark continent (North Korea) ask permission to invade and devalue the Chinese economy? Whose side ARE the Chinese on in this one?
I'm not going to see this movie but I wonder how they will explain away how a country got the drop on us these days. We have so many sats watching North Korea, I doubt they (or any country) could mobilize enough to get there. Even if it wasn't announced to the public, the military would know and they wouldn't let Thor go on leave for a few weeks.

The North Koreans infiltrated Seoul and snuck in by hiding in the trunks of Hyundai Elantra's headed for the US, duuuh! C'mon, do I have to explain everything?

Makes as much sense as "ummm, they came over in fake commercial airliners" I suppose. It really doesn't make much sense to remake this movie. Red Dawn really was a product of its time. I had to explain to my wife who is several years younger than me how paranoid we were during The Cold War.
This movie looks like Big Dumb Fun. Turn off your brain and enjoy. I can easily see myself in future years sitting down to watch this movie with a big bowl of popcorn, followed by a day long marathon of Flash Gordon, Billy Jack, and Hawk the Slayer.
I always thought they could make some kind of Red Dawn remake where the enemy would be Germany and Japan, sort of a WWII revenge thing, and they would do it by selling us millions of their cars and then pre program them so that while all of us are driving our Toyotas and BMWs, it would automatically lock and trap us inside our cars and then they would just waltz on in and take over the country while wer'e trapped in our cars
