I forgot about Hocus Pocus. That is a must-see on Halloween.

I'll watch a horror movie any day of the year.

Christmas movies, though, only in December.

Christmas is about the only time I'll watch movies that I don't watch the rest of the year. Note that Die Hard, while a Christmas movie, is acceptable to watch any time, every day preferably. And I don't get all these movies watched every Christmas season, but I try to see as many as I can. The first 4 or 5 are a must to watch every year.

A Christmas Story
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
White Christmas
Home Alone (if I'm really bored Home Alone 2)
The Muppet Christmas Carol
The Family Man
Die Hard
Gremlins
Nightmare Before Christmas
Scrooged
Elf (again if I'm bored enough)
The Santa Clause
Love Actually (when my wife makes me watch it)
Bad Santa
Ernest Saves Christmas
The Ref
Trapped in Paradise

Planes Trains and Automobiles which is more a Thanksgiving movie, but I usually watch it between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I always watch Cecil B. DeMille's The Ten Commandments on Easter. I think its status as a classic is well-deserved.
