These things are subjective, but I'm looking for some thoughts/recommendations on '90s movies that you feel deserve more love, or a second look..

Two that I watched in nearly empty theaters (understood, neither were Citizen Kane, but that I both like a lot), Career Opportunities & Jennifer 8.

I remember Jennifer 8 being run here & there as a Saturday afternoon hangover movie on local tv but..

Others that seem forgotten or overlooked (?), please advise.

Sorry, BR, I'd love to help, but I don't think in terms of decades like that.

I'm gonna say Shakespeare in Love.It won like 8 or 9 Oscars and remains one of the most hated Best Picture winner but I just LOVE this film.

I loved Before Sunrise with Ethan Hawke. The subsequent films didn't have quite the same simple chemistry, but that one was pretty perfect.

The Coen Brothers' "Miller's Crossing" was so under-rated it is practically criminal!

No pun intended, since this the Coens' homage to 1930s gangster flicks. It sports a tremendous cast, starring Albert Finney, Gabriel Byrne, John Turturro, and Marcia Gay Harden. The story line is wonderfully twisty, the dialogue is superb, and the cinematography at times breath-taking. I am a crime movie buff and have seen 'em all and this is perhaps my favorite. I rate it right up there with other gangster classics like Goodfellas, the Godfather Trilogy, and The Departed.
Yet, it is amazing how many people have never even heard of it; even those who call themselves movie buffs.

Two scenes NOT to be missed that are worth the price of admission alone: A bathrobe-clad, tommy gun firing Albert Finney, with "Danny Boy" playing in the background; and Turturro's "Look into your heart" monologue.

Seven Years In Tibet (1997)
That Thing You Do! (1996)
Six Degrees Of Separation (1993)
Office Space (1999)
