Look out for The Lavender Hill Mob 1951 with Alec Guiness you will see a very young Audrey Hepburn and Alfie Bass remember him from The Army Game.
League of Gentlemen 1960 with that great actor Jack Hawkins and of course Richard Attenborough. I thought his Brighton Rock was far superior to the remake 2 years ago.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_TYGRChCn4

Went through one of my boxes..haven't seen this one for a while...on vhs..'Sea of Sand' Richard Attenborough and Ray McAnally....done in Libya in '58... about the Long Range Desert Group....

Speaking of Richard Attenborough, I saw him in the movie Brighton Rock(1947) at film noir film festival a couple of years ago. Very early use of the 'twist ending".
