I take it to mean you mean a movie you don't want see it again because it was too intense/sad/depressing. Recently I checked out Fruitvale Station. May not qualify as a "great" movie, but it was certainly a very good one. And one of the saddest movies I've seen in a long time. Very few films make me tear up. This one did.

Saving Private Ryan... I was totally shocked by the realism. Great movie, but it made my stomach queasy.

Great movies I never want to see again are mostly movies I avoided in the first place.
Lately I would say, The Judge. I saw it. The actors were awesome. The story was depressing, and I could have done without seeing it.

It might not be a great movie, but I don't want to watch 'Marley & Me' again even though I liked it. It was too sad when the dog (Marley) died.

This thread has come up a couple of times. My answer remains Food, Inc. If there's any film everyone should see once BUT NO MORE, it's that one.
