It was a joke about the shark don't take it seriously. And just because she hot doesn't mean she can act I'm sure she holds her own against a fake/ GCI shark when it comes to acting.

Feeding grounds definitely. I was just offering an ulterior motive. Still, I feel one would spot a bird frenzy before seeing the carcass, and that alone should warrant retreating to the shore.

She did fine in carrying the movie considering she was pretty much on screen by herself for 90% of the film... along with a seagull.

Kinda like Tom Hanks with a soccer ball.

No... this is the movie thread. The Shallows 2016 should be renamed to "I only watched the first 40 minutes of The Shallows and it sucks" thread.

Can't please everyone! LOL

Saw it yesterday ... it was ok. If there are places that still rent, I say wait to rent the DVD or see it at matinee pricing.
Blake did well with what she had ... which wasn't a whole lot. The movie is 87 minutes long and I'd estimate most of it is slo-mo ... slo-mo of Blake putting on her wetsuit (nice!!) ... slo-mo of Blake's face CGI'd on a real surfer surfing ... slo-mo of Blake under the water ... you get the idea.
As with most movies with promising premises, this one didn't know how to end it properly, or at least find the least preposterous way Blake can get out.
5 out of 10 for me.

We watched this just a day or two ago, meh, wasn't overly impressed. She did a good enough job acting. The premise is silly, but I guess we need to suspend our logica brains. Sharks don't operate this way, but whatever, putting that aside it was ok. I like the scenery in the movie.

I guess I sorta don't care for these kind of movies where it's just one person alone on screen, for the most part. I thought that The Reverent was the same. Just too much one person screen time, especially when fighting the elements such as the two movies I listed, IDK, it gets old to me quick.

I didn't find her "hot" as others mentioned, but whatever, If I wanted to watch a flick for hot chicks, I'd watch a porno or whatever, LOL. Never cared for a movie based on how attractive the actors are.
