Haven't seen all of them yet, but those I have seen are fascinating...he used actor Jimmy Stewart a lot, as in the three below.

ROPE shows the sociopath in action...

REAR WINDOW (my favorite) has an injured photographer spying on his apartment neighbors with terrifying results...(Grace Kelly perfect in her role).

VERTIGO...double trouble from actress Kim Novak...

Didn't give explanations so as not to spoil movies if you have not seen...

You have a favorite or comments on Hitch???

I love Hitchcock, though I admit I haven't seen a lot of his earlier work.

If you're a fan check out this movie (lots of fun):

are you a fan?
Yes. A good book on most of his films is Eric Rohmer and Claude Chabrol's Hitchcock: The First Forty Four Films.

He was a hoot. Especially on his TV shows. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen," his shadow slowly filling the cartooned profile.

I'm a fan but he sometimes had a hard time ending his movies. They would abruptly jump to a barely related closing scene.

I like his movies. His best ones are Vertigo and Dial M for Murder for me.

Huge fan since teenage years & in my 20's I did a serious look at all the movies I could see, & it was most, even Rope got rereleased then (nerd! ) Favorites have always been North by Northwest, Rear Window, Sabotage & Foreign Correspondent.

But in late adulthood I watched Vertigo again after decades & realized that it was the "one", David Lynch could hardly do anything weirder or more suspenseful, a masterpiece.
