If your not a car enthusiast then you might not be interested in this but as a whole it looks very good.

Default ...she's real fine my 409...

I saw the previews at the cinema [watching Born To Run]. There are four things I really dig:
baseball; rock and roll; hot cars and chocolate cake.
So you know I will be there when this film opens at the local cinema.

Bumping this because we saw this movie yesterday and we all really enjoyed it. My husband and FIL are car guys, in fact, my husband currently owns two classic Fords- a '73 Mustang and a '32 Deuce. The most intense reaction, though, came from my 9 year old, who got pretty upset at some of the dramatic "will they or won't they win" scenes and really, really hated that one Ford Exec played by Josh Lucas, LOL. Won't say more than that, though.

I think it's sometimes hard to make a movie work when you have two really strong leads, but I think Matt Damon and Christian Bale were both excellent and had great chemistry.

Ford v Ferrari is getting almost all positive reviews, even from critics who have no interest in motor racing. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/ford_v_ferrari

And it's on its way to becoming the most-watched movie of the weekend - exceeding expectations by a wide margin. Amazing for a motor racing movie.

My gearhead husband had been looking forward to it for weeks, and planned to take our son and his nephew. At the last minute I decided to go along, and I'm glad I did. It was really entertaining--well written, well acted, and well filmed, and you certainly do not have to be a car lover to enjoy it.

I will say that it's a good thing my husband had already clued me in on a crucial detail regarding the end of the Le Mans race, or I might not have figured out quite what happened there. I didn't have any trouble following everything else, which is not the case for every movie I see.

Absolutley loved it! I had read from several critics that it's okay. Again shows what critics know. Go see it, especially in a theater with a Ultra Screen like they have at Marcus Theaters.

Looks decent and since Christian Bale is in it, I am intrigued, but I don't really like car movies, is there a lot of racing involved?

Yes, there are a lot of racing and car scenes in the movie. It is unquestionably a racing movie, but I think at its core, it's as much about the relationship between Christian Bale and Matt Damon's characters as it is about racing. So, if you are a Christian Bale fan, I think you will still be able to enjoy it.

It's gotten good reviews and actually did solid (but not spectacular) box office this weekend.
