"Edge of Tomorrow" with Tom Cruise courtesy of my son. He said it "wasn't much of an action movie, Mom." It was a bit much action for me but the plot was engaging enough. Some of the frames were so fast I couldn't keep track of what was happening.
A soldier in a future war against Aliens gets caught in a time loop. Great weapons and FX. The Aliens are Cthulhu-esque.
