If you liked the Punisher comic books I think you will really like this movie. Straight out, brutal, remorseless action. They did not hold back on the violence in this version. If you didn't like the comics you probably won't like the film.

It is probably going to be a big flop, I saw it today and there were only 5 other people in the theater.

I might catch it on DVD some day. I wasn't terribly impressed with the first film, and none of the previews for this one have grabbed me.

I agree with most of what he said. Reading the Punisher has always required a tremendous suspension of disbelief. It's more of a revenge fantasy than anything else.

i actually like the 2004 Movie starring Thomas Jane. but, yeah, this new one - going by the trailer - looks like s***.
