I liked the German girl in this movie. Its pity that she died. But at the end of the film it was fantastic. One US tank crew restrained the onslaught of the german SS battalion. This is not real.

Do you think it would have made sense strategically to make a foxhole under the tank that the bottom hatch was located? That seemed like a relatively safe space to pick off the enemy after the tank ammo ran low. But it was a bold and intense suicide battle.
The movie really succeeded in setting itself apart from most war movies. 3 Kings (1999) had a similar subject in a different war, but it was a comedy.
