I gave "Hell Or High Water" 5/10.
The best pictures (according to "the academy") of 2016 have been well acted but very predictable story-lines.

I just returned 3 rentals.

Jack Reacher Never Go Back. I like the books. The movie was fair/good. No rave reviews from me but it wasn't bad. I didn't feel like I wasted my time

Keeping Up with the Joneses we watched for about 15 minutes. That was total crap and cannot believe it made it to production.

Then we watched Sully. I really enjoyed the movie and the outcome. My husband thought it was boring but he loved the end.

I never read the Jack Reacher books, but I liked both of the Jack Reacher films, plus I'm a Tom Cruise fan.
I watched Keeping Up With the Jones for 10 minutes and turned it off, completely unfunny characters.
I starting watching Sully but found it boring and turned it off about 30 minutes in. Almost had me hooked enough to continue.

Fifty Shades Darker

Boring

No flirtative teasing

No sparkle

No passion

No interesting

No "the looks"

No chemistry

And I would not bother to take my clothes off for those few seconds that it lasted..

I really waited the texting like it was important in the book and la map.. How they failed so hard with a map scene???

Not worthy It was wayyyyyyyy much better movie inside my head when I read that book.

Denial 2016 Acclaimed writer and historian Deborah E. Lipstadt must battle for historical truth to prove the Holocaust actually occurred when David Irving, a renowned denier, sues her for libel.

Very good movie.

Deepwater Horizon and Hacksaw Ridge - both were excellent especially the second one.

Deepwater Horizon was an important film as it highlighted the human stories of that disaster, while the liberal mainstream news media only focused on the birds and fish and really overlooked the 11 people who lost their lives on the rig.

Bleed For This (2016), I give it 7/10.
Greatest sports feat of all-time, and one of the greatest boxing films ever made.
Not easy to make a great boxing film.
