I was hoping to see El Perro this a.m. El perro (1979) - IMDb
El Perro is titled in English A Dog Called Vengeance.
But the cable station aired another film titled Vengeance instead.[but using the plot for El Perro in the announcement] A Hong Kong revenge film. Too bad. Perro sounds very interesting.

I started getting free movies on my DishTV last night - happens about once a month for 4 days at a time.

So I watched Pompeii.
Really copacetic unrealistic special effects.
Science and history monkeyed with.

Really nice eye candy.

Shipping News and With Honors. Yes to both. Both had enough a sense of realism in the characters that made these films work for me.
