Which of the 1980s movies you've thought was underrated?

Default Touched (1983)

I agree with the reviewer at the bottom of the IMDB page. I have a copy of this on VHS. It's not available on dvd.

OK, I'll play. These are films that have some cult status that I think should be greater. A few "should"s in this post.

Eating Raoul. Paul Bartel and Mary Woronov should have been as big as John Waters for underground name recognition.

Night of the Comet. For cult cheese this should be regarded as the antecedent to Dude Where's My Car?

Pulse. An overlooked and effectively crafted sci-fi thriller.

Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama. 'Nuff said.

Ratboy. Should be a family classic.

Happy Birthday, Gemini. Quirky in the '80s style, and not fantastic. But the earliest happy "coming out" film I can remember and should be recognized.

That's exactly what popped in my head when i saw the title, Can't agree with your other two. R. Lee Ermey got a whole career from that movie, and "me so horny" is iconic. Brazil, though never reaching mass appeal, is critically acclaimed. On the other hand "They Live" is a straight cult film but deserves better. I think Roddy vs Keith is one of the best american on-screen fights. scratch that. the best.

I own a copy of one of my favorite 1980's movies, CHANCES ARE, with Cybil Shepard and Robert Downey , Jr. No one I've ever met has ever heard of it!
