A Clockwork Orange

I agree with the message, but the movie just bores me.

I disagree. Just because a movie doesn't have your run-of-the-mill Hollywood "good guys always win" ending didn't make it any less effective than other movies. Sometimes evil does trump good, as much as we'd like to believe in karma. Plus, the Coen Brothers are brilliant.

I'll add to the anti-Lost In Translation brigade. I despise Sophia Coppola's precious elliptical style. Ooooh, ambiguity. Silences. Mysteries of depth.

Adolescence.

Commit to a statement and direct there, Sophie. Say something. Stop being all fuzzy trying to pass it off as profundity.

I liked Natural Born Killers, but I would've liked to have seen it done by Quentin Tarantino. He wrote the screenplay, but didn't really have the money to make it. He had just made Reservoir Dogs (which didn't really do too well at the box office until his popularity rose) and was beginning to work on Pulp Fiction, so he didn't have the time or money. He didn't like Oliver Stone's rewriting of the screenplay or directing of the movie. Who knows what Tarantino could've done with it if he had the resources at that time.

The two worst movies for me were: Titantic--I just wanted to drown the main characters, and The English Patient---watching paint dry would be more exciting.
