Very happy for: Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, Arcade Fire, Barbara Streisand
Thrilled that: Justin Beiber went home empty handed, Jennifer Hudson looks (and sounds) so good
Confused about: Lady Gaga/Madonna...I totally agree with her lyrics, but she's way too much about herself and not about her music.

Yep. My husband and I were joking that Jagger shops in the Justin Beiber collection.

Actually I think Mick is a size smaller than Beiber.

I enjoyed the show very much and judging from the performance last night, I thought the Academy did a good job in diversifying their music repertoire on stage. There was rock, country (that country song from Melissa Lambert was very moving, glad she won), rap, pop, R&B, and a bit of jazz as well. I haven't enjoyed Grammy show as much as I did last night.

Lady Gaga is overrated, and her song last night is a complete rip off of Madonna's, even her hair-do last night reminded me of Madonna's. I'm a bit disappopinted that Katy Perry didn't win anything, I think her songs are much better than Lady Gaga.

Barbra Streissand was simply awful last night. I never understand her appeal anyway (shrug).

I thought Gaga's song reminded me of Madonna's "Express Yourself".

Gaga is just Madonna on "Red Bull".

I tend to agree, but still, I like Lady Gaga a LOT.

Yes, my overall impression was that it was an awesome show compared to the AMA and all the other award shows that are long on boring acceptance speeches and short of showcasing the industry and it's talent. I'm hoping next year's show is as good.
