On Quincy Jones' "The Dude" album from 1981, "Just Once" is on there

Was this the big hit, or was it covered by another singer (Peabo Bryson?)a few years later?

Who sings on the album track, was it QJ himself?

it the lead vocal was James Ingram

you're right it does sound like early 80's Jeffrey Osborne(like a tune off the "Stay With Me Tonight" lp)
