Greenfields by The Brothers Four (dating myself here)
Once there were green fields, kissed by the sun
Once there were valleys where rivers used to run
Once there were blue skies with white clouds high above
Once they were part of an everlasting love
We were the lovers who strolled through green fields
Green fields are gone now, parched by the sun
Gone from the valleys, where rivers used to run
Gone with the cold wind, that swept into my heart
Gone with the lovers, who let their dreams depart
Where are the green fields that we used to roam?

This is from 1991. It always made me cry. I haven't been able to listen to it at all since I lost my mother in 2007.
Margaret Becker - You Remain Unchanged Lyrics
Driving across Dakota
I saw an old freight train
That train has crossed this state
Through the wind the snow and rain
Now the wheels were rusted golden
And it wasn't on a track
Somebody somewhere swore that train would be coming back
CHORUS
You remain
Unchanged, unchanged
You remain
Unchanged, unchanged
Went back to my old house
And I parked across the street
I could almost see us there
My mother and me
And I could feel her gentle guidance
I could feel her hold me tight
Seems like too many years since she kissed me goodnight
CHORUS
You remain
Unchanged, unchanged
You remain
Unchanged, unchanged
You remain
Unchanged, unchanged
Walking with my father
Down the avenue
For every step he took
I must've taken two
Now his steps have grown much slower
But time keeps rushing on
We know this life's so fragile
But we're both counting on, that
CHORUS
Amen.
I know it was meant to be a beautiful song written for his son that died but my brother was killed in an accident the same time that song came out and it just brings me back "there" and that song does not bring me comfort.
Painful in general, or for me because it means something? Either way............
My Heart Will Go On (Cleine Dion)
What a Wonderful World (Louie Armstrong) - because it was the song that I danced to at my wedding with my grandfather who is now gone for 7 years next week; I am the only granddaughter and had wanted a special dance for us
