I'm an R&B fanatic and I thought I'd create a thread for us R&B lovers to discuss some of our faves from the past and any anticipated albums in the future that we are looking forward to checking out. Answer the following questions:

What is your favorite decade of R&B?
Who are your favorite artists?
Who are you listening to right now?

The 70s

The greats: Al Green, Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye, The Meters, James Brown (so, you know, I'm not a super deep deep fan. And I like a lot of different music genres. But I gravitate towards classic r&b more and more).

Just got an album from The Bar-Kays, which got their start on Stax Records.
Always listening to Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, and Lee Fields (a lesser-known contemporary of James Brown who's still performing today and puts on one of the best live shows I've ever seen).

You have to forgive me Neuling I don't venture into this area of CD too often. With that being said, nothing wrong w/ having another thread to devote to this genre .

Well, sorry, but given how cluttered the music forum already is, I think every double thread is one too many

And I am not saying this because I didn't like R&B, quite to the contrary as you might notice from my frequent posts in the existing thread...
