All of the tracks were great - obviously the ones that got the most radio play were the most well known, i.e. Sledgehammer, Big Time, In Your Eyes, & Red Rain. However, even the more obscure tracks were amazing, i.e. Don't Give Up, We Do What We're Told, and my favorite song on the album - the haunting Mercy Street.

I remember in early 1990, one of the local radio stations in my area voted So as the #1 rock/pop album of the entire 1980's. High praise, considering there were so many great albums from that decade.

I love this thread. I think album listening is getting lost with the new generation. Unfortunately I can't remember all the ones I love from beginning to end, but these are ones I never tire of.

U2 - Achtung Baby
U2 - All That You Can't Leave Behind
U2 - Joshua Tree
U2 - How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
The Black Crowes - Shake Your Money Maker
The Black Crowes - Southern Harmony
Led Zeppelin III
Smashing Pumpkins - Gish
Incubus - Morning View
Nirvana - Nevermind
Pearl Jam - Ten

The funny thing about the U2 albums is that I didn't really like them until I listened a few times, but once they grew on me I loved every song and still do. I find that the ones that you have to listen to a few times and grow to like are the ones that never get old. There are many different groups that I feel that way about, but I'd have to look at my album collection to recall. It's been a while since I've listened.

I have some others that were never radio fare, like Revolting *****, Big Sexy Land.
